KEN GUSHI

Kenshiro Gushi started Drifting at the age 13. His father Tsukasa Gushi took him to a dry lake in El Mirage CA. where Ken was first introduced to the basics of drifting in his father's 1986 Toyota Corolla GT-S. For a few years Ken learned basic maneuvering techniques and refined the skills that he was taught. Two years later Ken decided to compete in a few local events where he was able to get more practice against different individuals in a competition environment.
Soon after competing in a few local events, Ken was given the opportunity to compete in D1 driver search, where he later qualified. In route to qualifying for D1 Ken watched many of the Japanese Pros and picked up some of the key techniques that the pros use while competing. Then came the first U.S. Drift Championship Series Formula Drift, where Ken was able to develop some of his own style and technique of drifting which he competitively uses presently. Ken has also been competing in a few local rally and hill climb events which include Pikes Peak Hill Climb in Colorado, Rim of the world Rally, and Ramada Express Rally. 2010 SEASON
